Bethenny Frankel blames a common hotel item for facial bacterial infection

Bethenny Frankel is convinced towels from a resort in St. Barts caused a deeply uncomfortable facial bacterial infection.
“So I had a bacterial infection from towels,” the “RHONY” alum said in a TikTok video on Thursday, referring to a rash she revealed earlier this month on the same platform.

Frankel asserted that it “happened once” to her daughter Bryn, 15, whom she claimed “recognized” the spotty red rash as it emerged.
“Towels hold bacteria, so do sheets,” the reality star continued, noting the “disgusting bins of towels and linens” she claimed to have seen “behind a hotel.”
Frankel — whose rash appeared to have cleared — alleged that towels aren’t taken immediately to be washed after being used.
“It sits in these bins with food and beverage and heat and god knows what — I’m not gonna get into — it just is not sanitary in any situation,” the Bravo star said.
Frankel, 55, asserted that “even a well-cleaned towel still holds bacteria. A face cloth holds bacteria.”
The reality star said a facialist informed her of this “while ago,” and told viewers that makeup sponges, powder puffs, and makeup brushes can do the same.
“So you have to do the best you can,” she said.
“I’m just telling you that I will never, ever use a hotel towel or sheet again,” she concluded the post, adding, “You’re welcome.”
Frankel made headlines earlier this month when she vacationed in St. Barts over New Years, and came out of the celebration with a massive face rash.
In the clip, she showed off both sides of her face, which was affected by the mysterious rash.
“POV: You left St. Barths 3 days early and & brought home a bacterial infection,” she captioned a TikTok video at the time, adding, “Allergic to St. Barths #bye.”
She subsequently said she was “itching to get off” the tropical island in another TikTok.
In her signature style of humor, the swimwear designer also complained about the paparazzi’s coverage of her beach vacation.
“I went swimming in the ocean and got paparazzi’d and looked like a drowned rat because I wasn’t wearing couture to the beach,” she joked.
