Jealous girlfriend allegedly threw 25-pound weight at romantic rival in Texas gym

A jealous gymgoer was arrested after she chucked a 25-pound weight at a romantic rival’s head, according to police.

Aralyn Martinez, 24, allegedly recognized “the complainant as someone her partner was involved with” at a 24 Hour Fitness outside of Houston last week and “threw a weighted plate toward the complainant’s head, attempting to cause injury,” according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office.

“B—h I’m going to drop this 25-pound weight plate on you,” she yelled at Cindy Aguilar before the wild Jan. 7 attack, according to a charging documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

Police responded to the gym and Martinez was arrested the following day.

She was booked at the Harris County Jail charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

“Facts giving rise to probable cause suggest that alcohol was a factor in this offense,” the judge overseeing the case wrote in an order setting bond conditions, according to Law & Crime.

Her bond was set at $1,000, which she posted the day after her arrest.

During her release, Martinez is barred from consuming all alcohol including “any food, mouthwash, or over-the-counter medication containing alcohol,” the judge ruled.

The court also prohibited her from using marijuana, possessing any weapons or contacting the victim.

Martinez also must stay 200 feet away from the 24 Hour Fitness where the incident occurred in Spring, a census-designated place in the Houston metro area.
