As if the bag-check system wasn’t already going to hell: A traveler found himself in a ridiculous situation at the airport after his items arrived one-by-one on the luggage conveyor, as documented in a TikTok post with over 5 million views.

“That one time we were waiting for my brother’s bag, and instead his underwear and socks came out one at a time,” the flyer’s sister, who goes by @laysuperstar, captioned the clip.
She called the ridiculous scenario “the best 30 minutes of my life.”
The Post reached to the uploader for comment.
In the wild footage, which reportedly transpired in Pittsburgh, the brother can be seen grabbing a pair of socks and underwear from the conveyor.
Several moments later, a lone sock and another pair of underwear arrive like some automated dry-cleaning service as the siblings look on in disbelief.
The clip concludes with the traveler’s bag finally arriving, which he noted was “missing all socks and underwear.”
Flabbergasted over the belongings’ piecemeal delivery, the pair headed to customer service, but they were “confused too,” per the post.
TikTok commenters were in hysterics over the baggage claim debacle with one exclaiming, “I’m in tears WHAT is happening back there.”
“Holy s–t I’m losing it how on earth does this even happen,” wondered another.
A third quipped, “The baggage handlers are all like ‘watch this.’”
“Imagine having the worst day of your life and this happens,” said one flummoxed viewer, while one called the belt “the carousel of shame.”
However, one sympathetic party said that the one consolation was that there wasn’t “a crowd to witness this humiliation ritual.”
This comes after a Department Of Transportation report revealed that nearly 224,000 bags were mishandled in August 2025 among the top ten major US carriers.
The worst offender was American Airlines with 48,152, which appears par for the course given that AA was ranked the most likely carrier to lose travelers’ luggage, per a survey by shipping site MyBaggage.com.
It was followed by United (36,636) and Delta (32,578).
