The 70-story tower hosts 824 rental units, 248 of which are designated as affordable.
Homes on offer range from studios to three‑bedrooms — and move-ins are slated for February. Rents start at the mid-$3,000 mark, rising up to to more than $10,000-a-month for the most luxurious pads.
Jodi Stasse of Corcoran is the development’s exclusive marketing and leasing agent.
The development occupies a full city block at Orchard Street and Jackson Avenue, once home to the American Steel Wool Building and later used as a film distribution hub. Perkins Eastman designed the modern tower’s brick, glass and metal facade.
Residents have access to more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, according to marketing materials, including a 60,000-square-foot private “backyard” said to be the city’s largest.
Long Island City has spent the last year racking up benchmarks for its rapidly growth, endeavoring to meet rising renter and buyer demand.
The Orchard quickly overtook the area’s most recent reigning champ, the 67-story Skyline Tower in Hunter’s Point.
The industrial neighborhood saw the city’s highest growth in units in 2024, and more are on the horizon thanks to a massive rezoning plan approved late last year.
In addition to the apple orchard, the development’s impressive swath of grass includes three pickleball courts, a pool, a yoga deck and an outdoor screen for summertime flicks.
Interior perks include a full-size indoor basketball court, a lap pool and a top-floor sky lounge with panoramic city views.
Each of the tower’s open-concept units boasts high ceilings, in-unit laundry and tiled bathrooms. The oversized windows are outfitted with solar shades, plus blackout shades in the bedrooms.
Select rentals feature private balconies or terraces.
