“A mom is going viral on TikTok with 3 million views for her post that claims, and I quote, ‘Your husband should be able to take care of your kids on his own without you needing to leave a three-page instructional manual and stressing over your health,’” she explained.

Goldberg turned the discussion over to fellow panelists Hostin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, all of whom have husbands.

Hostin enthusiastically replied, “I felt this in my soul.”

She recalled an instance when her son Gabriel was around 4 or 5 years old, when both she and her husband Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin were working “crazy” hours.

“But a couple days he wasn’t working as long, and I’d come home and he’d say, ‘By the way, I cooked for Gabriel today.’ Like he should get a freaking award for that?” she teased. “He’s an orthopedic surgeon. I said, ‘I’m sorry, was this an immaculate conception? Is that baby Jesus in the room? Am I a single mother? Do you get an award for cooking for your child?’”

Behar asked what Manny’s occupation had to do with Hostin’s argument, to which she emphatically replied, “Because if you can fix body parts, you can fix a freaking meal! Come on!”

Haines weighed in with her own story, telling viewers that she came home this weekend after Griffin’s baby shower and had “been gone for a few hours.”

“I come home this weekend and I walk in and our neighbor, who I love, was coming over for a drink,” she shared. “So I see my husband and my neighbor drinking, and I know the kids are somewhere. And I see blue sand across our kitchen, I see things we use in the kitchen being used as toys on the floor. And the trash, there’s all this trash over the trash can because they were full, and the trash cans were still in the corner.”

Haines said she “clearly went right into cleaning mode” upon her arrival at home, which apparently took her husband, Max aback.

“Max was like, ‘That’s a little rude, that energy you came in with.’ He goes, ‘I’ve been here all day.’ I looked at him and I was like, ‘I can’t have a drink and relax while it looks like a beach in the kitchen,’” she added.

However, Max claimed that their son Caleb was supposed to vacuum it up.

“And I said, ‘He’s 6. Can you just take care of this?’” Haines quipped. “He didn’t get it. I realize men think differently because he felt keeping them alive is a lot, and that’s a great goal.”
