Josh Allen makes $8.5M Calif. real estate move days before playoff win

Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen has taken his modern California mansion off the market—just weeks after his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, revealed she was expecting.
Allen, 29, made the decision to delist his longtime bachelor pad on Jan. 7, four days before heading to Florida for his team’s NFL playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, at the EverBank Stadium on Sunday.

It has been quite the month for Allen, who helped the Bills to clinch a wild card spot in this season’s playoffs just a few days before Christmas—10 days after he and Steinfeld revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
Allen and Steinfeld, also 29, said “I do” on May 31, 2025, at the San Ysidro Ranch in what the “Pitch Perfect 2” star later described as a day that was filled with “love and magic.”
Weeks later, Realtor.com® revealed that the football pro listed his four-bedroom, three-bathroom Dana Point bachelor pad for $8.5 million, seemingly in an effort to commit to life as a married man.
However, after Steinfeld revealed that they were expecting their first baby together, Allen swiftly pulled the home from the market.
Allen snapped up the 2,808-square-foot property for $7.2 million in 2023 through a trust managed by his financial adviser, Troy Nunes. Allen is believed to have spent a considerable amount of time during the offseason at the abode, soaking up the warm weather after a traditionally frosty Buffalo winter.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling is located inside a “prestigious” guard-gated community that features its own private beach club—and proximity to a host of five-star resorts, including the Ritz-Carlton.
According to the listing, the property embodies “classic mid-century California architecture” and “is set behind the exclusive 24-hour guard-gated enclave of Monarch Bay.
“Positioned on one of the neighborhoods larger private lots, it offers exceptional potential in a highly sought-after coastal community.”
Surrounded by lush greenery, the modern pad welcomes guests with a black-and-white facade and gated entrance.
Upon entering the home, visitors are greeted with an open floor that features an expansive living area complete with ceiling-to-floor windows and a cozy fireplace.
“Large openings with sliding doors create a natural flow between indoor and outdoor living, extending the space into the California sunshine,” the listing adds.
Adjacent to the living room is the chic dining area, and the chef’s kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and stylish white countertops with gray cabinets.
“The formal dining area is perfect for entertaining beneath an elegant chandelier, while the kitchen features chic quartz countertops and ample storage,” the listing reads.
The primary suite continues the gray and white color palette that is present throughout the home. The suite is a “private retreat with a sitting area and direct access to the outdoors, offering a true indoor-outdoor experience,” according to the listing.
The primary bathroom features elegant his-and-her vanities and a large glass shower.
Three of the four bedrooms boast en suite bathrooms and open to outdoor spaces.
“The nearly 12,000-square-foot flat lot backs to Monarch Bays private park with direct gated access, providing a perfect canvas for a resort-style backyard with pool, spa, and custom amenities,” the listing states.
“Residents enjoy exclusive membership to the private Monarch Bay Beach Club, managed by the Waldorf Astoria, offering beach butler service, coastal dining, oceanfront lounging, and private event space.
“Convenient access to world-class golf, hiking, Dana Point Harbor, and luxury resorts completes the unparalleled lifestyle,” the listing adds.
Allen, who was born in Firebaugh, CA, spends the majority of the season in Buffalo. However, he has maintained a close connection to the Golden State.
The sporting sensation also holds the keys to another sizable dwelling much closer to the Buffalo Bills’ training ground and stadium: a custom-built megamansion that he had erected on a plot of land he snapped up in 2021 for the relatively low price of $500,000.
Located in the tony community of Orchard Park, approximately eight minutes from Highmark Stadium, the home features a stunning swimming pool, a pool house, and a sport court that can be used for both basketball and tennis.
It’s the perfect place for Allen to lap up the last of the warm weather when he returns to Buffalo for preseason training camp, which kicks off on July 24.
However, thanks to Steinfeld, the NFL pro also has his pick of properties over on the West Coast—where Steinfeld owns a dazzling abode that she picked up for $8 million in 2021.
Located in Encino, CA, more than an hour away from Allen’s Dana Point dwelling, the home was previously owned by rocker John Fogerty, who sold it to Steinfeld for $7.98 million—more than $3 million more than what he paid in 2018.
The actress’ property spans an impressive 9,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Much like Allen’s abode in Buffalo, it has a sizable pool, which can be accessed via a motorized window wall between the main living area and the backyard.
If the pair are hoping to invest in more property together, they may look elsewhere in California, specifically Malibu, which is where Allen popped the question to Steinfeld on Nov. 22, 2024.
