Bradley Cooper addresses plastic surgery rumors

Bradley Cooper addressed plastic surgery speculation with an acknowledgement that people have complimented his appearance lately.

“I get people [coming] up to me the last couple weeks,” the “A Star is Born” actor told “Smartless” podcast hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes during the Jan. 5 episode.

“They’re like, ‘Oh, you look good!’”

The Oscar nominee made the comment after Arnett recalled being asked in a previous interview to name something about the “Maestro” actor that people don’t already know about him.

“I said, ‘Well, there’s a lot’,” Arnett said.

“And then I was gonna say, because we keep reading it, ‘Everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery.’”

Arnett continued, “I’m like, ‘What people don’t know is that he hasn’t.’ Of course, he hasn’t.”

He added, “It made me mad because people say that all the time and I’m like it’s such a hilarious thing. Everybody thinks that they know. You know you read that bulls–t stuff.”

Bateman, meanwhile, joked that he’s been “cut to ribbons” by cosmetic surgeries. “But look how it’s worth it,” he said as his co-hosts laughed. “Look at this!”

Cooper previously underwent a remarkable transformation for his role as famed composer Leonard Bernstein in 2023’s “Maestro.”

The “Hangover” actor, 51 — who shares daughter Lea De Seine, 8, with ex Irina Shayk — sparked plastic surgery rumors in late 2025, when he and Arnett began making appearances for their movie “Is This Thing On?”

Social media users noted at the time what they thought was a marked change in Cooper’s appearance.

“Women get a lot of shit from people whenever they get plastic surgery but how have we not brought up Bradley Cooper?” one person wrote via X in December, alongside a photo of the star.

Another lamented in a social media post that the actor “doesn’t even look like the same person any more!”

“That’s probably a stunt double. That can’t be him,” a third speculated.

The comments come amid Cooper’s escalating romance with Gigi Hadid, 30, whom he’s been linked to since October 2023.

A source told the Daily Mail last month that Cooper is serious enough about the Victoria’s Secret model to have taken a major step towards a proposal.

“Bradley asked Yolanda for Gigi’s hand in marriage,” a source told the outlet in December.

“He wants her to know how serious he is about Gigi and how he plans to build a solid family with her in New York.”
