‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Season 2 Reunion: 3 Things That Absolutely Need To Be Addressed
Season 2 of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives has been out for nearly two months and we’re still thinking about the never-ending stream of drama involving our favorite Latter-day Saints acolytes.
Across the 10 episode sophomore season, we got into the (soft) swinging scandal again — and invited in a new Mom-fluencer, Miranda McWhorter — watched a girls’ trip or two play out, and saw countless fights between the MomTok girlies, many of which sit unresolved. Which leads us to the recently announced Season 2 reunion, which will debut on Disney+ and Hulu on July 1.

While Season 1 hooked us and kept us seated for hours on end, it was the drama between the nine women that powered Season 2 and made it one of the first must-see shows of 2025. Trust me, I say that as someone who doesn’t watch reality television as a rule and knowing full well how it sounds.
That said, Hulu is now taking a note from Bravo and bringing the cast back together to dissect all the drama from Season 2 (and probably shed a few tears) for the fans who are insatiable. Since we here at DECIDER fit into that classification of people, we have a few requests as to what needs to be addressed during the one-hour-plus special.
Keep reading to find out the three things that we absolutely need to see come out of the imminent Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 reunion.
1. The Ben Affleck Of It All
Jen and Zac Affleck may have sat out much of Season 2 after finding out (through a stream of tears) that they are expecting their third child. But before they took a backseat role, the backlash of their connection to a more famous Affleck (cough, cough, Ben) blew up in their faces and caused a major televised tiff.
Perhaps it’s because I don’t trust Zac — I may forgive you for your indiscretions in Season 1, but I don’t forget — but I do think his family told Jen they are related to The Accountant star. Now, is it possible it’s just a running family joke? Sure, of course. That said, Jen met this man and his family when she was still in her teens. She was (and still very much is) a child on this here planet. Do you know what kind of dumb stuff I fell for in my teens? Let’s just say a lot.
Considering that they tied the knot when she was just 20 years old and the human brain isn’t even fully developed until a person’s mid to late twenties (it’s science, look it up), I think she gets a pass on this. I do think her feet should be held to the fire a little bit on going back and forth between what she told the other girls and what she was telling Zac, but on the Good Will Hunting actor drama, I think we should chalk it up to a misunderstanding and let her be.
2. The Whitney/Mikayla Drama
It doesn’t even feel fair to call it the “Whitney/Mikayla drama” because the whole thing was so one-sided. Mikayla, I’m going to hold your hand when I say this… let’s leave this mess in Season 2 because it isn’t doing what you think it is. I have so much love in my heart but this entire mess with Whitney in Season 2 read more as someone desperate to create drama for more screentime than it did someone who was standing up for themselves.
I believe that it may have started as you having a genuine dislike and mistrust in Whitney — something I understand and fully endorse — but at some point, it turned into this manufactured situation where you acted like Whitney shot your dog in front of you. Let’s dial it back, babe.
I’m hopeful that the reunion sees these two chit-chat it out, but even more than that, I want to see some of the other ladies bring up the fact that it all felt so dramatized. None of them will do so, I can almost guarantee it, but I wish they would just assure Mikayla that she will get her screentime without having to produce drama. You cannot be working on letting go of what doesn’t serve you, and then turn around and hold onto something with both hands.
3. Taylor Gets A Taste Of Her Own Medicine
This is going to upset some people, but I need to see someone read Taylor to filth for the problems that she consistently creates. Don’t get me wrong, I love Taylor and her chaos, but I have a hard time watching someone create their own problems over and over again and then act like the victim. That is textbook Taylor.
Two things can be true here. Taylor is deserving of empathy and she is also someone who makes the lives of the other girls harder. She has what I like to refer to as “Main Character Syndrome,” which is when someone believes they are the most important person in any room and moves through life as though that is the case. In this situation, I think it’s at the detriment of her own friends and castmates, who do support her in spite of her issues.
Whitney, to some extent, has the same problem, but at least she is always thinking of her family and her kids. The drama Whitney creates is in the name of trying to protect her own peace. When Taylor drops a bomb like she did with the Instagram post for the CMAs, it’s out of a selfish need to feel like the star of the show. She loves to call people out even when it may not be fair but no one, sans Demi, seems to be comfortable enough to do the same.
I’m waiting for the day that the other girls clock it and stop putting up with it.
