The league announced his penalty on Sunday afternoon, stating the incident occurred with 7:08 left in the first quarter, when the All-Star big man drilled an and-one jump shot and celebrated with a crotch-chop.

Embiid responded on social media within the hour, mocking the fine and likening his gesture to a referee signal.
“Yall better start fining the refs for doing the “Lewd”, “blocking foul” gesture since I’m not allowed to do it #NFL,” he wrote on X.
Embiid, 31, has been fined multiple times for the signature celebration, which is inspired by Triple H and Shawn Michaels of the legendary WWE faction, D-Generation X.

Last season, he got charged $75,000 for making “obscene gestures” against the Celtics — a year after being fined $35,000 for the same celebration.
Embiid finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in the team’s first loss of the season on Halloween night (4-1).
Still working his way back from a knee injury, the former MVP is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 46/39/80 splits in four games with a minutes restriction.
Embiid is listed as out for Philadelphia’s Sunday night matchup against the winless Brooklyn Nets (0-5) at Barclays Center.
