His mother, Kandice Grace, 32, was “passed out in the driver’s seat,” with two of her other kids also in the car, according to the document.
The mom was arrested on Monday and charged with second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to children. A blood and urine test was positive for opioids and THC, according to the warrant.

A witness told police that Grace had stopped by his home around 10 p.m. the night before, and decided to leave the kids in the car because she didn’t want them to come inside. She left shortly afterward, according to police.
The next morning, the witness saw Grace’s vehicle in the parking lot — with her young son’s head “hanging out of the window,” the warrant states.
“He began banging on the car to wake up Ms. Grace,” police said. Her unconscious son was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police found Grace at a neighbor’s house with her youngest child. “Investigators attempted to speak to Ms. Grace, however she kept passing out while sitting up and holding her child,” the warrant alleges.
The mom is being held at the Fulton County jail.
