A toddler is being hailed a hero after helping save the life of her dad as he experienced a sudden medical emergency.
Zab, 2, leaped into action after noticing her father, Ymman Demegillo, 31, of Slough, Berkshire in England, was experiencing a hypoglycaemia attack, according to Caters News.
Per the Mayo Clinic, hypoglycemia is a medical condition in which a person’s blood sugar level “is lower than the standard range” and requires “immediate treatment.”
As seen in the footage, Zab shook her dad and yelled his name after the attack started. She then could be seen doing everything she could to wake Ymman as she wailed.
At one point, Zab leaped off the bed, walked into the living room and fetched her dad’s glucose tablets.
Per Caters News, the dad said Zab then “made me chew” the tablets and sat with him as his symptoms slowly went away.
Ymman was astonished by how “concerned, focused, and so full of love” his daughter was during his time of need.
At the end of the video, Zab said to herself, “When daddy is hypo, give chocolate and sweets.”
Her mom, Jill, said the toddler has been “shaped by what she sees every day.” She explained, “She’s only two years old, but she already knows how to help her daddy during a low blood sugar episode.”

She later added, “It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming all at once. Moments like this remind us: kids are always watching, always learning, and sometimes, they become our little heroes.”
The mom concluded, “Thank you, God, for the gift of Zab.”
Those experiencing hypoglycemia can experience a range of symptoms, including shakiness, sweating, headaches, hunger, nausea, fatigue and an irregular or fast heartbeat, per the Mayo Clinic.
Signs that hypoglycemia may be worsening include confusion, unusual behavior, loss of coordination, slurred speech, blurry or tunnel vision and nightmares.
