Woman Traveling with 3 Young Children Shares Nightmare Flight Experience

• A PEOPLE reader recounted all the “messy details” of her flight to Florida with three kids under 4
• The woman, who wrote under the name Kelly, said their flight got delayed after they boarded

In response to a PEOPLE article asking readers to share their memorable flight experiences, a user by the name of Kelly opened up about a trip that remains in her mind for all the wrong reasons.

Kelly had no problem diving into the “messy details” of her travel day, warning others not to “try bringing your three kids under 4 to Florida on Jet Blue.”

Kelly detailed her hectic morning trying to wrangle her three young kids onto the flight. However, once she and her children had finally boarded the plane, the captain announced that the flight had been delayed by an hour.

“The kicker,” Kelly wrote, “The man in front of us says, ‘could this get any worse?’ ”

As if right on cue, Kelly said that her 1-year-old then erupted in tears. The little one began “projectile vomiting from crying” because “she hates to be restrained,” Kelly wrote.

“Now you are covered in vomit, the person in front of you has specks of vomit on them,” she shared. “The Jet Blue attendant is trying to help. You are sitting there deciding if you should forgo clothes or sit in the vomit for the next four hours.”

“I could go on,” she added, alluding to the chaos of traveling with young children.
